The Palladium Theater's newly restored Skinner pipe organ will get a workout from the inimitable Rosa Rio — 106 years old and still going strong after almost 90 years in show business. Rio, who lives in Sun City Center, started out as an accompanist to silent movies, then was an organist at NBC radio in the 1940s and '50s, providing music for shows such as The Shadow. She is a legend among organists and a master of improvisation and wit at the keyboard.
What a wonderful musician Rosa was. Thank you for posting.
