the real over- over riding issue is the exponential population growth of the planet. Forget green if there's no progress on that. Maybe the planet will when out yet with a pandemic that wipes out 75% of humans.

How many people on Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter will pretend to remember his broadcasts ?
I am 31, I know him as an attachment to history. I've watched his take on things... I've seen the reels... I know he is the "original anchorman" but honestly I feel no attachment. I respect him for being the first before being first was important, I admire him for being compelling before that was how you kept your job and for those reasons W.C. will be missed by me.

It's probably hard for anyone to understand who grew up in the age of CNN, Fox and the 24 hour news world we've had for the past 20 years. In the 50s 60's, 70s, and part of the 80s you had 3 networks, half hour nightly news and EVERYONE with a brain watched one of them. most watched Walter. So, for us, the Baby Boomers and our parents we watched the guy we felt was most honest and told us the facts concisely and factually. Walter.
