@easternstrix yes they do. all dogs need to be trained to understand if and when to bite. an untrained and unsocialised dog will bite out of fear. dogs need to be trained to have confidence to attack. ive owned many mastiffs and dogues tend to naturally be timid, they have had the aggression bred out long ago. my boerboel and dogue love meeting kids/people and would never naturally attack, they had to be trained to understand a threat. most of what you read on the net about mollossers is rubbish

Should the helper really be letting the dog have the sleeve when it gives a light front mouth bite like that, I thought that only full bites were meant to be rewarded.

Best guard dog?? The dog has a poor bite. I have snails in my garden that bite better.
