  • Good work brother, it's OK that people have their opinions, but don't let it discourge you from wanting to share your art of making knot's. What's important is the fact you are showing a skill that one day may save someone's life. God bless You.

  • i'm a newbie to backpacking/hiking but this seems an easy way to tie down tarps/tents/hammocks to adjust tension

  • Instead of making a loop to finishing it off, try this /watch?v=YEpagec4fQI and this adjustable knot shown ""pulled all the way through though"" will tie it off nicely. This way you can easily tighten the rope more if you don't have it tight enough. I like to tie the truckers hitch around the tree and then tie the adjustable knot onto it and then go and tie off to the other tree with a quick release knot, then go back to the adjustable knot and pull the adjustable knot until the rope is tight.

  • @bigyabbie Can you show us the video of the real knott ?

  • sorry but knot a truckers hitch...

if you put real load on this knott you will never get it undone unlike the real knott

  • Before you ask, I'm a rigger so I know my knots.

  • Dang. This knot looked too complicated from the book I was reading. When you break down as a slip knot and a hitch, it's really easy. Good stuff.

  • I'm in my 40's & have spent my life cutting knots & waisting rope because I didnt know what I was doing. My dad has shown me this (he used to be a trucker in his early years) but without enough practice, I'd always forget what he showed me. This is on my phone now for future referance. BTW....if you loop the tag at the end to tie it off (slip knot?) you have a quick release. Great Video, thanx!

  • nice!

  • Excellent choice of subject. However: Delete the first 20 seconds and delete from 1:32 to the end of the presentation. We have little over a minute's worth of information packed into 2:12 of viewer time. Please focus on "How". Don't show us the backs of your hands (or the woods). You used 'zoom' well at the beginning of the presentation and then forgot to use 'zoom' during the 'review'. You have a good start here.
