QSO with Ray in Shrewsbury located in the county of Shropshire (formerly Salop), in central England, close to the Welsh border on UHF 433.450Mhz. He was using an Icom IC706MkII-G, HF / VHF / UHF All Mode Transceiver @ 15 watts output into a quarter wave collinear. His signals to me were 5/9+60db & we were about 50 Miles apart. I had a nice excellent long QSO with Ray, indeed i wish i had shot more video to upload. Ray's main interest is C.W & this take up 95% of his operating & he also has a varied collection of Paddles & Keys. If you hear Ray on the radio please give him a call, as you will have a most interesting conversation with him. Thanks for a great QSO Ray & i hope to work you again soon.
My TX/RX was an Icom IC2725 @ 5 watts output into a Watson W-770HB 2m/70cm Dualbander. My QRA was Axe Edge Moore DX Spot @ 515 Meters / 1690 Feet ASL. Near Thatch Marsh & just under 2 Miles away from the Cat & Fiddle Inn, Macclesfield. Latitude: 53°13'50.32"N, Longitude: 1°57'38.85"W.
Hope you enjoy the video, Regards Dave M0AKB...
