The acting in this movie is amazing. Elle's acting in this movie, at such a young age, is better then most adult actors. There are alot of actors who attempt crying scenes but fail big time. In this case it wasn't a problem. It was believable and its heart breaking. Its nice to see more of Elle in her newest movies and I look foreward to see what future roles she will take.

Okay I'll explain this to those of you who havemt seen it...
Phoebe, is a little girl with OCD and tourrettes, she wanted to be alice in the school play but she didn't think she would get the part unless she did these things, like the 'stair stepping' which is where she jumps up a certain amount of stairs (she fell on the stairs a lot) and said 'remember who you are, don't get fired' and she imagined characters from alice in wonderland speaking to her. There.

Poor kid. I don't have OCD but I have severe anxiety and a few times I've just broken down crying in my mom's arms because not only are the worrisome thoughts themselves frightening but the question of "why am I having these thoughts?" is frightening as well.

not only is she probably one of the best actors at her age, but she is better than most adult actors ive seen. this scene made history
I am never watching another Elle fanning film with her crying in it. I can't stand it. To see her cry is heartbreaking. Such reality. Such a brilliant, talented young actress! A genuine treasure to the film world. She doesn't need to ride Dakotas coattails. She has proven herself. Kudos to the parents who have raised those two kind, intelligent kids. Hope they smile if/when they see this comment.
