  • isn't it interesting how everyone assumes that the "barbarian" must have a bodybuilder physique when in fact the latter is a very unhealthy condition to have for someone travelling and living off the wild :/

  • @StarSpawn06 good call bro

  • I can't wait for this movie since it is going to be closer to the books. i grew up with the original movies and hated both of them. I believe arnold sucked because of the direction the originals went. anyone who has read the books would know the arnold movies were a disgrace. the original stories came out in the 1930s and were intelligent, witty and bloody.

  • @Voajus I respect that your not only one who said that to me. I respect that keep it real, bro

  • I going to give this guy a chance to be the world's greatest barbarian

  • @Deadpoolzilla Same with me

see all

  • this movies suck!

  • @StarSpawn06

    oh i see, that's true

  • @atheism102

    yes :)

my point was that a bodybuilder physique ( bulging muscles and no fat ) is not the most suitable for living in the wild.

A commando sargeant/ mountain nomad is probably a better choice for the role of Conan than Arnie was.

though Arnie did create a deep visual impact :/

  • I still consider Conan the Barbarian one of the best low fantasy (cloak and dagger) movie ever made; I read all Howard novels too but thats not my point. My point is that a movie of this kind (based on fiction) doesn't have to necessarily depict in full a novel which is based on, what is important to me is to continue with dignity and spirit its source. First Conan was great in that respect and even Arnold did well as he could possibly do. give respect for that.

  • Glad to hear Ron Pearlman is onboard, he's awesome!

  • @StarSpawn06

lived to the age of 130 and was still healthy even then.

  • @StarSpawn06

that depends on how in-tune Conan or the fictional/non-fictional legendary Barbarian being illustrated is with Shamanistic ways or Shaman. Many Native Shaman in the real and fictional world always happen to be clean and healthy because they are highly knowledge about herbal medicines/natural remedies and personal hygiene. Many Shaman or people who practice "spiritual" medicine in the fictional and even the real world live very long lives. There's a reported mystic from Asia who

  • @KainBarbaric its what conan is a huge muscle man. an yes i want Arnold to play the older conan to finish the story. conan is now older and the king so of course he his older. and arnold can be in great shape again not as big but like in t3.

  • @TheMtVernonKid - From a practical point of view you have a point, but Conan's physique is not assumed, it is Robert Howard's own portrayal of Conan in his stories. Incidentally, Howard was a body-builder himself...
