Bunker Busting

As a kid we always knew there was a nuclear bunker near by. We imagined a huge underground complex and I heard it was where they are building new houses. So I went to find it....or tried. It's private property and I'd already been kicked out of it a few days before.

if u had stood in the field infront of the red mansion and turned directly to ur right the bunker used to be there!we used to go in there all the time managed to get in by dropping through the air vent on the roof after a little help from a circular saw haha! creepy place all the electrical equipment u see lying around was from inside!

yeah seems like I was a few months too late! Nevermind. I remember BT putting it up for sale in the echo years ago. We imagined a massive underground station either under the coryton roundabout or down by amersham but seeing the photos of it now I think I would have been a bit disappointed. Shame they got rid of it though. The houses building site was used for filming a scene in torchwood but then what isnt in cardiff lol.

watch the video again about 2/3's in when u see the white building with greens line running across it i.e. in the field with the boarded up houser thats a nuclear bunker u can see the air intake on the roof there was a ground level part to the bunkers not all of it was buried below ground if they knocked a nuclear bunker down you would know they were made to with stand a nuclear blast

You're mistaken about the building with windows boarded up. The bunker was one level above ground and one level below ground but it is no longer there. Type in Coryton Bunker on google and look at the subbrit site, it has full pictures and plans.
