Maybe I'm one of the weird ones but the Wheelers never scared me, especially after you see how Mombi treats the poor things like slaves and at the end...they are in the palace celebrating the Nome King's defeat like everyone else.

Ah, this clip brings back memories.
The Wheelers were unusual villains, but--call me heretical if you must--how could they possibly HURT Dorothy, let alone tear her to pieces? They have no hands, no feet, no jaws that bite or claws that catch...just four wheels. Unless the Wheelers have a secret breath weapon of some sort, it doesn't look like they could do much worse than roll over her toes or club her a little.
Mombi was an eerier villainess, IMO. That hall with all of her heads... O.o

Fantastic, genius film! It's scary, & that is exactly why this film was so good, quite like The Labyrinth was! Film makers these day just aren't up to creating such atmosphere!
