ob","robert")); and it worked just the same. so.. what is the difference between slash and quotation marks? -

this also works with quotes:
var text = "hello thenewboston";
document.write(text.replace("h
ello", "how are you today"); you'll see it prints out "how are you today thenewboston" ;)

you bet, im going to be teaching ajax son which is pretty much like advanced javascript. im going to be teaching you how to make a chatroom like AIM and Yahoo Messenger with javascript and also make a rating system like the one you use to rate youtube videos. keep and eye out for em!
