Penny's son had made a good recovery thanks to some excellent care provided by an inpatient ward. But sadly, on being discharged, the crisis teams turned him away, and he could not get help when he needed it. Tragically this cost Penny her son: he took his life.

Help us make crisis care available everywhere. So everyone has someone to turn to.

We urgently need your donations to fight for these changes.

  • The 'what do you want me to do about it' attitude is quite prevalent, makes you wonder why they spent all that time learning to become experts if that is the best they can coming up with. You get a similar response if you are in physical pain and go to a GP, similar to mental health in a way as pain is also invisible.
