It's too bad Maravich is no longer with us. I normally hate basketball, but he makes it so fun to watch. I highly recommend the movie made about him, it shows all the trials he had to overcome just to play ball with the Varsity at his high school when he was only in 8th grade. He sat the bench for over 10 games before the coach threw him in. Second time he went in, he made the local newspaper. He was half the size of all the players on the court, but he made his dream come true in earnest.
