haha, I just got my ocarina today, and I was practicing playing outside where not many people could hear me, but we don't have squirrels down here in Australia. So it was the kookaburra's that were laughing at me, lol

will you please do a full length video about using vibrato for someone who has never used it?

Here's a question, Why is shooting outdoors, especially in the woods so populat amongst Ocarina players' videos?
-
I have been doing this for about 6 weeks now and it has been a huge help to me.

Thanks Im going to get one.

Nice tip about playing each note for several seconds. I'm only on Unit 3 of the MO book, but I notice that the CD recordings sound way better than I do. Granted some of it is my inexperience, but I think it's also what you said. Many thanks.

That was a great video! You seem like a very nice person :)

Fantastic video, I am also teaching myself how to play the recorder, they are very similar in some respects. Mountain occarinas should hire you to do videos for them.
I like the fact that you play more then one kind of music on your mountain occarina and that is what is missing on the Mountain Occarinas website. I only hear celtic music and I need more then just celtic to hold my interest.
Keep up the good work , Am sure every one including myself would like to see more from You.

I think it's because the ocarina is so portable, it's easy to bring outdoors. And in the woods, it's quiet, and the squirrels don't laugh too much.

Thanks for making this great video! :) You are pretty good as a music teacher and one can learn a lot from you.
The "whole note drill" is a great exercise - I usually play a very even note of seven beats and breathe in on the eight and repeat a few times.
