  • I remember watching this as a fifteen year old. This was a sad time. Jim McKay was an excellent sports commentator. However, McKay really stepped up to the plate as a news reporter with this breaking news story. I think he really said it all when he said those people "are all gone". Senseless, how those innocent athletes were murdered. Sports should be a time when politics is forgotten while good will and sportsmanship should prevail.
