This video is a tribute to Aleksandr Belov (1951 - 1978)
In 1972 Summer Olympics, the United States' Olympic winning streak, which started in 1936, was ended by the Soviet team's victory in the gold medal game, one of most emotional and dramatic game in the sport's history. In the final three seconds the Soviets threw the ball downcourt, and Aleksandr Belov made a lay-up as time expired for the final margin of 51-50.

  • @Fantomas24ARM ?!?!? Your stating you win by the rules on a video which explicitly shows that you indeed don't win by the rules and instead blatently break them. You are rmentally retarded

  • @hanksnow2 thank you!!!!!!!!!

  • Look at the scores from the '92 Olympics...same as when the NHL started allowing American/Canadian pro players to go to the Winter games instead of letting the USSR et al beat up on college kids. Once the 'professionals' (and don't even try to argue that they weren't pros) of the Central Red Army had to play players that were their equal (or better) we haven't seen 1 gold medal won by Russia...or the Soviet Union...or the Unified Team...or whatever they're going to call themselves this time.

  • @svrhodes77 - "Didn't stand a chance in hell"?...Must have been played in the USA?.

If the same standard of officiating existed in basketball as it was in hockey, the Russians would have to be at least 3 times as good as the opposition.

Dumf&*k N?Americans thought these were the "Commies" that were out to take over the world. So they thought Hey, anything goes, punch the shit out of them.

But alas, they find out it's their own, giving their jobs to China & it's not the Rus @ all! Brainwashed!

  • @JMazterV112 -"In the mood"

  • name of the song?

  • Meanwhile all the NBA players of the time were not allowed to play. So essentially USSR won the NCAA championship not the Olympics.

  • ну вы лохушки,американское говницо)

  • Yeah, we saw who had the better team in '92...when the rest of the world wasn't playing against our college kids anymore. Once you had to play against the best of our best you didn't stand a chance in hell.

  • Como tem filha da puta comunista que gaba aquela merda que foi a URSS! Vão à merda!
