The Hy2U (Hi to you) is a water dispenser for washing hands. It is designed by foundation Demotech bearing with the requirements that is has to be affordable and make-able by even the poorest. It is to be obtained solely by learning. The diffusion of the technology is thought of to run through informal social channels and local markets. The Hy2U puts emphasize on the personal feeling of aesthetics; everyone wants nice bathroom equipment, so do the poor. It is explicitly no garbage. No money or goods are given to the people, only knowledge transfer.

  • Wonderful work Reinder! Demotech should get the Nobel Peace Prize for this.
