American Bass-Baritone Kyle Ketesen (not Ketlesen as some miss spell it) sings Madamina il catalogo e questo, or the Catalog aria, from Don Giovanni. Production by Calixto Bieito and performed at the Liceu in Barcelona last June 2008.
I only have to say that anyone who makes fun of junior deserves to be dumped. LOL!

Staging makes no sense....with out the catologue it makes no sense..in this version he could have used a blackberry or a laptop

Soprano is hooting. Gentleman could be a fine Baritone. Covering Voice-throaty tones, do not allow for development of Baritone Range. Journet was a rarity.

If you are going to use such negative language to tear down such a wonderful artist, I wish you would post an audio or video response, showing us how much better you are able to do. Opera seems quite easy from the experts in the cheap seats...

Tenore, I actually have a cast list from Faust at the Ordway the other night- His name is actually spelled "Ketelsen". I doubt they'd get these wrong..

I am sure Kyle or his team made sure the name was spelled right. He was the one who corrected me.

Can you post more from this production? Perhaps the finale from the first act. The singers a much better as this in the DVD-Production from the Liceu.
