Thank you for the explanation ...

Not quite that high but certainly starting to head that way!
The peak during the gust at that part of the day was a bit above trim speed but I would put it at 'only' about 23-24 kts max.. the forcast for later that day, Dundee TAF was rising to something like 26014G30kt from the nice flyable conditions (low coastal sites!) of early in the day.

I think it was +28knots at that time. He is doing the SAFE handling/landing instructions for HIGH SPEED WINDS which are NOT currently taught by Irish/BHPA/Italian/Australian/
Asian instructors....who teach with the same training as way back in the 80/early 90's. Makes you think, wing DHV ratings change every year but training remains the same as in the late 80's. Can YOU handle your wing in 25+knots ? I can now! If you can't then you need RE-training :) -
What is this guy doing on the end of the video? ha ha ha h a
The clip was filmed by the pilot who owns the wing, he was across from Ireland for several days RE-training.
The end part of the clip show some of the safety procedures to drop / kill & control the wing in high wind situations avoiding the typical accident risks resulting from 'normal' (BHPA) training. Using these procedures SAFE landings can be made in 25+ kt conditions (i.e. NEGATIVE ground speeds!)
Conditions: wind 15-18kts + getting thermic
