No one can say that the Bronx hasn't had it rough.
It burned for more than two decades and now that it is undergoing a "revitalization" many wonder if the improvements are meant for its residents, businesses, and communities or investors and tourists.
A landmark business, the Stella D'Oro Bakery closes down leaving its employees without work. Another landmark building, the Kingsbridge Armory, was to somehow revitalize the neighborhood without providing a living wage for local employees, and to speak of landmarks, residents give the NY Yankees their tax dollars in return for benefits to the community that haven't yet been realized.
Now, a historic 147 year old cemetery has a lot of famous people buried there, an audio-driven tour of the grounds but not supervisors or directors that are Latinos or African-American. The dead may be at rest but for the Latino & African-American employees there's "No Respect, No Rest!"
That's not all. Watch our report and, please, leave us your comments.
Woodlawn is the only predominantly Irish neighbourhood left in New York and long may it continue to be Irish. The black and latino's have many other areas for themselves.
P.S. What a bunch of lazy people.

Keep up the good work Felix. Let's help to publicize this struggle. Just as the community got behind Stella D'Oro strikers, the Band of Brothers' fight is our fight. When they win, we'll all win. All for one and one for all. Up with the Bronx. Fire The MTA. Take Back Our Transit System. These struggles are connected. Bail Out The People Not The Banks.
