I love John Mayer-I think hes a great guitarist and song writer. But Dave and DMB are on a whole different level. They've been one of the biggest bands in the world for the last 20 years, not to mention no one beats dave's stage presence and performing ability

Here is the definitive answer: if there wasn't Dave, there would never have been John Mayer. John Mayer's first concert was a Dave concert. You can clearly tell Mayer is a huge Dave fan.
