I have always believed that playing it too safe or doing just enough to "get by" actually "holds you back" from using your full capabilities. In essence, you self-sabotage yourself, your dreams and your goals. You get used to living beneath your dreams. When this happens you begin to have "regrets" of what you "could have, would have or should have" done. Regrets also deny you the chance to dream and take risks to achieve them -- you end up paralyzing your ability to move forward. You become a victim of self imposed limits, and fear and doubt begin to take up valuable mental space.
Success awaits the bold that are willing to take a risk. Success requires no apologies. Many people would be surprised to learn that it really doesn't take a lot of additional effort to be better than average.
