I think I paid around $600 complete, then another $400 for install.
Well worth the cost!

@billeebee22 hmmm, I do have a chilton's manual, I'll have to check it out. My Jimmy is a 95.

This was a promotional video I made when I had it for sale.
Yes it had that many miles, but I added the plow and put maybe 400 miles on after that. Just used it for 2 small drives, but it worked great!! Never got stuck and it could push a ton of snow.

@billeebee22 I always used 4wd high, never needed low. When I got it the 4wd didn't work and I had to replace the actuator under the battery tray - the rubber was rotted and would not form a vacuum to pull the front axle into gear. I moved into this truck from a 2 door blazer, but I have 4 kids that ride along when I plow so the 4 doors was great for that and still a short enough wheel base for tight turns.

@billeebee22 My 4x4 on my GMC Jimmy doesn't work, it's the same exact SUV as a Blazer. I've taken my battery and battery tray out before, and I haven't found any sort of actuator under there. Is there another location for it, or do I just not have one at all? I'm guessing I just don't have one at all.

@gcutler15 Unless you have an older model, it is under there. It's a round part - maybe 5 inches across. It is steel on one side and rubber on the other. I had a couple of them go bad because the rubber is so cheap and thin. You should go to Autozone and buy a repair manual. Chilton's or Haynes are great. Good luck.
