In this video, Wally (the shepherd) and Bill (the handler) are working a training scenerio, called a "project". In this scenerio, two people walk the same track and then split off and hide in different places. Bill is given one scent article and Wally is supposed to go to that person only.
It is not a super exciting video, however, it does show WHITE SHEPHERDS in action and also how fast Wally is, dragging poor Bill down the track on lead. Wally gets his tracking ability and ball/frisbee drive from his sire (our Hagan), and his wonderful trainability and confidence from his dam (our Elka).
The county Wally is to do Search and Rescue for is about 4600 square miles, which is approximately the size of the state of Conneticut. I believe we have the highest amount of SAR calls than any other county in Oregon, having more than 2/3 of our lands being timber and wilderness.
