A set of KCS engines dragging an old SD9 and a bunch of 737 bodies to Boeing's factories in the Seattle area.

Video shot in Rathdrum, ID, at the end of a long day of railfanning.

Edit: If you want to see a photo of another Boeing train through Spokane, please visit my art gallery at http://paploothelearned.deviantart.com/art/Boeing-Rides-Through-Spokane-99258002

  • Actually, I grew up near San Francisco, went to college in Santa Barbara, and am reasonably well traveled including several weeks in Europe and six in Singapore. Spokane also has about 400,000 people in it, so it isn't too shabby on size either. I just don't think your theory is holding here. :)

  • if only u had video of the whole train...

  • The rest of the train was a very ordinary consist, so I decided not to drag out the video after all the really interesting stuff happened. :)

  • im impress to see boeing section on the train

how manny trains whit plane's sections pass whithin 24 houres ?

    train on !!!!!!!

  • I'm not sure of the exact number, but I get the impression that it is something around one or two per week. They are not a common sight, but I do see them come through on occasion.

  • I dont think the first 2 locos are dragging the SD-9, it's pushing them along.

  • INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!

  • I never realized how much smaller an SD9 is compared to today's modern power. It's so small!

  • SEE, EVEN PLANES ARE TRANSPORTED BY TRAIN!

  • cool

  • trust me that power combo will never happen again

  • How old was that SD9?

  • @Railfanable Boeing 737s... being shipped up to the plant in Everett.

  • What airline are those fuselages for?

  • ah ok

  • @patmix The factory pushes out 31.5 plane per month, so it's not as much as you'd think.
