The interviewer is not insulting Rani, she is trying to pick out the truth from Rani who is hiding it well. Watch behind the scene of some of the films she does and you'll know the type of person is she when her crew talks about her....lol...she is nice but has alot of attitude

I think the host was trying to be honest (that Rani is less known now and less famous arguably than she was in the 2000-2006ish period. But yeah it came across pretty brutally.!!!
