Snow trek

My Port Orchard to Bremerton Washington trek , during the height of the December 2008 snow storm.
A grand theft auto type g.p.s. counter to show my progress,
The 2008 storm broke all kinds of records, with almost 3 feet of snow in some places of kitsap county.
Highway 16 and 3 are busy through fares usually crowded with cars , notice how few they on the road.
Washington state only owns 28 snow plows and were quickly overrun, leaving city's and towns to fend for themselves . It was only when the weather warmed up a week and a half later that we got relief.

You tube would only let me upload 10 min so I had to cut the begining and the end off but  I had gone to down town near the ferry terminal. I should note that I was driving a rear wheel drive 84 toyota van with no chains, it is everything that is not snow worthy but it did surprising well. Of course learning to drive in bend oregon where we got tons of snow every year helped. thank you for your kind words and interest

Down South kitsap Boulevard, left on Tremont, right onto hwy 16, now stand on it! Looks pretty dark coming down the hill towards Gorst. I see the headlights working on billboard. Wave to the girls at Toys Topless. Hi Girls! Looks clear on Navy Yard Hwy. Wow, watch that truck on shoulder! Ahh.. the Gateway to Bremerton.Oops another car! Lucky Wok, you go now! And head towards Burwell. Good time on your trek. What were you driving? Tires? Traction Aids? ABS? Traction Control. Or just your foot.
