  • Please post a how to. My DIY launcher bows to yours.

  • @pyrodiver101 Heya, a complete howto can be found at w-w-w playspoon c-o-m!

  • "atmega chip" Is that anything like the Basic Stamp ? maybe a kissin cousin in its architecture?

  • A quick google search will show you that they're not related.

  • Ahh i see "rudness" after giving you a compliment and asking a simple question as i reminist about tech of yester year? nice one DUDE get over yerself

  • Wasn't meant in a rude way. There's loads of great info on atmega chips on google, there's no real similarity other than both being microcontrollers.

  • @pyrodiver101 is it for sale

  • Can you post a list of parts because on the website it only lists the building instructions. Also do you have to program the micro controller by hand or is there a downloadable file?

  • In all honesty though, this was far better than anything I could even think of doing. At best i would have had three switches wired in series, and all of them would be oriented different. Thats the best I could ever come up with, your design is MUCH further than most anyone would have taken it!

  • Ahh, I state that not so much as a safety aspect as a cool factor. It just makes it seem like it's more of a dangerous task if there is a key required. Blame it on Hollywood I guess, Hollywood always puts a keyed unlock on any launch or self destruct, makes it more dramatic for the protagonist to rip the key from his dying chest and throw it haphazardly to his co-star to save the day. LOL but really if you build another just for kicks add a keyed switch, or a physical lock.
