I finally tried this flip out on a 1" line. I got worked. Check it out, it was a lot of fun, and slightly painful. Mad respect to anyone who attempts this flip and even more to those who have landed it!

Oh, and I am trying to face backwards relative to my take off, not come around for the front 3.

Oh, and I have zero gymnastics training. Any advice?

  • Very cool^^ Did you mean 720?

  • @FreshAccident it's technically a frontflip 180 if i look backwards, and not quite a front 3 if i look forwards. so i just arbitrarily called it a front 270 for now. it really depends if we are talking about hip spin or head spin since slacking is so different from other sports.

  • use your arms, and set before you flip. jump up and over like you're rolling over a ball, and the 180 will come out cleaner if you drop one arm before the other. also, where you look is where you're going to go.

  • @bgebz when you set, are your arms coming up from a lateral position (like upwards flapping?) or do you spear them straight up? also, is it better to fully leave the line before starting rotation or ok to start while coming up? i played around all different ways and couldn't get a feel for what worked best.

  • you land near your butt almost all the time i rekon you should try it to butt bounce pretty sick tho :)

  • @kilpatrickfilms dude i thought about it... but that's so scary!

  • @DanielPortik Your arms will set from a little behind your head, bent at the elbows, and upon leaving the line they should be straight and slightly forward from straight up. The thing about rotating right off of the line is that the longer you set, the higher your flip will be, allowing for more time to spot the landing. If your head goes down for the tuck right as you're leaving the line, your head will stay down and your flip will be very low. Try stalling for height before flipping.Good luck!

  • Sooooooon for sure...
