The first video in on-going series of visits to various religious groups found in the borough of Queens, New York City examining what they believe in. The county of Queens is composed on many different ethnic and racial groups who worship in various ways. It's important to respect and tolerate people who worship in their own particular way. We don't have to believe what they believe but we must allow them to practice their faith in peace and undisturbed. Finally, it's good to learn about their similarities and differences.

  • Wonderful video, it really answers some questions I've had.

  • thanks for the post.

  • We must be thankful that atheists feel motivated to attack Lutheranism with the usual snippets taken out of context, inappropriate extrapolation, etc., and thereby underscore the need to be loving and patient in our approach to those who will provide fertile hearts for the faith provided by the Spirit.

Thank God for Luther and those who have responded thankfully to his attempts to put the scripture into everyone's hands.

  • Jesus says he is I Am because he is God. Not because he is another person in the Trinity. There is only one Lord, Ephesians 4:5. Jesus is the Son according to flesh by by spirit He is God himself. He identified himself when Philip wanted to see the Father and Jesus told him he was the Father. John 14:8-11.

  • water is the visible earthly element that God's presence is with us, just as in the bread and wine is the visible earthly element taken during Holy Communion. We do not choose God but God chooses us and draws us near him but we have free will to always turn away from God. Baptism is a free gift given from God that is why we baptize infants.

  • well this is good he is a good teacher but let us remmeber just if he didnt add when you are baptized dont we go through water and then we accept the spirit with in us? So i would say wouldnt water be works? And would not spirit be your faith that you accept? For does not james say faith without works is dead?
