The GFA 92 Blue won the Potomac Memorial Tournament over Memorial Day weekend winning 4 games and tying one. The Championship match was played on 5/31/10 and pitted the Blue against the COPA from NJ. With the score knotted at 2-2 at the end of regulation, the match went into a 20 minute OT. The Blue scored early to take a 3-2 lead, but COPA didn't let up and scored back in the 2nd half of OT to knot it at 3-3. The game then came down to PK's where Paul Hegedus (class of 2011) stepped up big for the Blue and made 2 excellent saves on three COPA kicks. The boys in Blue went 4 for 4 on their kicks to secure the victory! Congratulations GFA 92 Blue.
