this is a beautiful song. before the song Gloria talks about death and being born, and when Gloria Gaither talks, people listen. Then comes the beautiful song, and then afterward is another testimony.

I sat next to the bed of my best friend who was dying of AIDS last night. He was humming this song for an hour before he took his last breath. I felt a presence in his room like no other. I know what death is and I am not afraid of it. I spoke with his Parents today and told them of the experience. His Mother cried and his dad said "AMEN" . I am not sure what that was all about but the whole experience has moved me.
you made me cry...im so glad your friend hummed this song and had a relationship with God so much so that he called on God and God took him in his arms as the song says and took him home... I hope i have that grace when the time comes for me...to GO HOME..
praise the Lord..that was an angel of the Lord in his room to take him home..i had the same experience with my dad...thanks for sharing and God Bless.
My best friend passed on several months ago, Years ago we would share the miracles of God and this was the greatest miracle yet and it is waiting for all us believers. Praise the Living God.
I cried when I read this. How beautiful, what a moment. When my wife and her grandmother and her sisters were gathered around the other grandmother's sister bed. She was holding on losing a battle with cancer. The women gathered around her bed and sang Amazing Grace, Grandmother leaned over and said, "Sis, we are OK, Mom and Dad are waiting for you, it's OK you can go home. In a few minutes she drew her last breath and was gone. My wife came home and told me what happened. We both cried.
