I was in Manger Square (Bethlehem) during the Christmas Eves of 1967 and 1971. One was *freezing*, the other mild. I no longer remember which was which. :^) An American choir group took off their coats moments before performing (bare necks and arms) a song for world TV. So brave!

I sent Xmas postcards which I mailed those evenings...by surface mail postage rate. Both times the cards arrived in U.S.A. months later. The recipients failed to recognize the Bethlehem Dec. 25th postmarks. :^)

I don't think I believe that this is the actual place of his birth. I've seen a lot of investigations. The people there believe it is when it may not be.
