    lol constantine didnt make the byzantine empire, it was a name given to the later roman empire by people during 1500-1600s onwards.

    Why did the Byzantine empire survive the barbarians and not the rome? Because the Byzantine's paid them off to take out Rome. Why did Constantine make the Byzantine empire? Because he knew that he couldn't get the pagans who knew fulll well Jesus Christ was just a Hellenistic sungod to convert to christianity. So, he made a christian . . .
