Oops! Sorry, I forgot to upload this last episode, which is part of season 5.

Poirot is outbid at an auction for an antique mirror by the dislikeable Gervais Chevenix, who requests Poirot's attendance at his country home as he believes he is being defrauded by a business associate, John Lake. Poirot arrives at the Chevenix house with Hastings and meets Chevenix's wife Vanda, an eccentric who believes in reincarnation and predicts a death in the household, his adopted daughter Ruth and her cousin Hugo,a struggling manufacturer of tubular steel furniture, who will inherit Chevenix's money if they marry and Miss Lingard, a secretary helping Chevenix research a book he is writing. Hugo is engaged to Susan and Ruth has already married Lake in secret. As the household are dressing for dinner, the butler sounds the gong to summon them, and then a shot rings out. Vanda's prophecy has come true and her husband has been murdered.

  • At least Poirot is a detective so there is a reason why he is investigating the crimes. I would be more afraid to invite Miss Marple. She just shows up and someone dies. She is definitely the more dangerous house guest.

  • super creepy music

  • Additional to the creepy music, is that Sean Young? If she's not then she bears an uncanny resemblance to her.

  • Inspector Japp is hilarious! He is like where can I get a hold of Safra? She moved?

  • Anybody happens to know who plays the corpse in this one? ...Well, you know what I mean, The guy who gets murdered.

  • @JonFrumTheFirst Clearly the words of a guilty man.

  • What a beautiful house!!!

  • Yes, I've got it now.

If the dangerous Miss Marple and the clearly labelled detective M. Poirot stayed in their own homes, diabolical murderers would cease some of their killing and that same number of lives would be saved across England.

    I think I've got now.

Oh, but wait! Dinocomer would have an unoccupied, spanking new addition to his home. And he would still be plagued by riff raff run amok.

And we would lose the mysteries of Agatha Christie.

Sorry corpses, I'd rather have Poirot.

  • @Fritzi1977 are so right the same with Miss Marple-wherever they go on a vacation, a train or even an airplane, there's always some diabolical murderer lurking in the shadows.

  • @Fritzi1977 That's enough for me. Any time he stays at anyone's house, there's a murder or two.
