@PixelOutlaw Given that the Dual Shock wasn't released when this game came out, it's not really their fault. It'd definitely be better with analogue control, but what can you do?
-
@ABlackFalcon I had to go Google "Sega mission stick" just to see what it looked like. I don't think I've ever seen one of those.
-
@ArcadeMameMachine I agree, Arkanoid is definitely better, but they had quite a while to develop it.
Super Breakout was around '78 while Arkanoid was '86.

@SteveBenway *facepalm*. Thanks for the correction. :)

@markvergeer There's definitely something magical about Atari 8 bit systems :)
-
@AtsumaKarin Arkanoid is a Breakout style game :P
Though to be honest, I do prefer Arkanoid.

@pappachook LOL :D

I have played quite a bit of this over the years, but it's Arkanoid all the way for me, class game.

hmm yeah never really thought of it like that. I saw monitors and TV as the same - but moving something on the TV ... yeah mindblowing once :) Also the fact that they don't care for greater and greater grafic - it's the same :) We have something called "Text TV" here which I always hoped would make games ... same grafic as Videopac and such.

@chrisstoffer TextTV sounds like our Teletext. I think they shut it down a couple of years ago though. It was originally done using Acorn BBC Micro Model B computers.

I always find the paddle games very difficult to play without a paddle on these game compilations on more modern systems. I tend to simply avoid playing those games on the compilations because I wind up just getting frustrated at the controls.

@Croooow111 The time it took to record this video was about long enough to last me for some time... lol.
