Poverty is being without things, having little money, not many material possessions and in need of essential goods.

they say a picture i worth a thousand words but a thousand words could never be enough, today there is an estimated 2 million children living their lives on the streets of the Philippines, many will work as a beggars, pickpockets, drug dealer and child prostitutes.

this is the result of human neglect, spiritual paralysis, greed, political irresponsibility that allows and exacerbates the entrenchment of poverty in an unjust social system.

but you can make a DIFFERENCE!

Personally, I think people should change their attitude in popular trend of conceiving children by traditional values and beliefs. Having children when your living in poverty inevitably leads to child neglect. Sterilization seems to be the most humane solution to this problem. Its in the best interest of the would be parent, and saves a human being from being born into a world of shit. But the government of these countries dont give a crap, so...

Why do people always blame it on the government even though it's mostly their fault. They are too lazy to get jobs! Yung public schools nga free na lang di pa mapag-aral ang mga anak. There's nothing to be ashamed being poor. The Philippines is not alone in this kind of sufferings. I take this video positively as an eye opener to the real situation. It happens now in the present society but it can never ever stay this way forever. There is freedom of speech & press here. You can express openly your ideas / message. People can take it constructively ... I noticed some pictures are old compilation of event put together extensionally.

what hurts me is when I see a child 7-9 years old, riding the back-side of a garbage truck to earn money to support his family.
