A mini-lesson and short excerpt showing a variation on this song using standard EADGBE tuning. It is normally played in open E tuning. The beginning part is designed as a kind of visual lesson / tutorial showing the chords used :-

E major ... E major 7 ... E7 ... A major ... A minor ... E major ... B major ... A major ... E major ... A major ... E major ... etc

I play the E major with fingers 2,3 & 4 so that finger 1 is already in position for the E major 7 which I make by lifting finger 4 ... then I just lift finger 1 to make E7.
I play the A and B chords in the 2nd part with open b and e strings.

This was recorded 17 April 2009.
Equipment: Yamaha FG-332, recorded on Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 camera.

  • You are quite welcome :) ...Hey...listen to Fuel "Hemmoraghe".....friggin great song. How some kid can know this is beyond me. Talk about Mozart being a prodigy. Just listen to the words for me, then comment back. Please? I am female...keep that in mind.

  • @luisexuperion many thanks ... check your messages

  • Again really helpful. 2 things: in open E tuning what would the chords be? and also i think you should do the song "You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go" from the same album. I also have another request for the song "Further on Up the Road" by Eric Clapton and The Band from the Last Waltz album. Its really challenging and I havent been able to find it anywhere.

  • @YounGst4ndUP ... at which part of the song?
