This is a marble gun made out of all copper and brass fittings, it has a 48mm OD chamber and a 18mmOD barrel that is 2.2m long. In this video I am just testing it after it has been standing in a corner for two years. I just gave it a new piston and a barrel that was straighter.

I am sorry about the bad quality on the pictures, the light conditions made the exposure very long. Also, the focus in the first video are bad. this was just thrown together really.

  • did you solder it ?

can you please post a tutorial on how to construct the piston?

    thanks

  • @hybridpyrotech Everything you need to know about piston valves and all other kinds of Spud gun related stuff can be found on the spudfiles forums.

  • @Spudfarm1 , right , but do you have a link to it?

  • @hybridpyrotech

Go to google and search for "spudfiles" then enter the site and click "Forum" when you have done that you just browse around to find what you are looking for.

  • Nice speed out of that piston gun. It seems like the piston is opening very quickly with just a ball valve. Have you tried using an air gun for the trigger instead of the ball valve? You might get even better performance.

  • @jrobmccoy I did try using an airgun on another piston design for the same gun but it did not work to well.

Ball valves are better since they have MUCH bigger air flow. The one I am using here is a 1/2" one.

  • @VerbotenDingleberry u don't need hose barb just you a copper coupling and inside it ex-posy a 1 inch copper barrel until it reatches the middle of the TEE, and thats your sealing face easy

  • @Spudfarm1 ya i use the same design and i think is way better then a ll the hot glue ones they suck

  • @Spudfarm1 well you are incompetent then, i made my fist piston valve and totally outmatches the ball valve, piston valve has more airflow more then valve and in faster time, i had ball valve and the penetration at the same PSI is 2, 3 times more powerful
