I have tried for every to capture a photo or video of the Great Blue Heron.they are easily spooked by humans. Of late I have been staking out an old limestone pit with a pond. Supposedly, the pond is too shallow to harbor fish, yet a Heron and Kingfisher both have been active there the last two weeks.

I like how the heron backed up back into the frame after catching it's fish. It's as if it knew it was being filmed and wanted to show off it's catch!
