Animated 2D stack series of a mouse brain, stained by Nissl. The images were acquired automatically under 2,5x lens using AxioCam CCD loaded on a Zeiss Axioplan 2 microscopic system. Note the fiducial stabilized at the midline of the brain series. The image series covers from the anterior-to-posterior extent of the brain, namely, from the olfactory bulb (anterior end) to the cerebellum with brainstem complex (posterior end). The 3D reconstruction of the entire mouse brain will be coming soon!!
