  • @TaviYamato: It is true that not everyone is a nonsmoker. If you or someone you know smokes, it is putting you at a higher risk from suffering a stroke. Do what you can to quit. You can call 888-567-TRUTH. You can get free gum or patches as nicotine replacement therapy if you are interested. Everything is 100% free and confidential.

  • My dad have a stroke 24 hours ago. 24 more hours and we see if he's out of the woods and will come back to us.

  • Excellent . . . Dramatic . . . Moving ... 1 in every 15 deaths are caused by stroke. Call 911 at the first sign of stroke and ... please, know the risk factors and symptoms for yourself and for everyone around you.

  • I want to thank you for this story. Emotionally stirring for a survivor like me :) I was refused treatment at my hospital, they said I had only a migraine even though I had a note from a doctor requesting a cat scan. It is important that you stand your ground when you go in, make sure you get treated no matter what. You know your body and you know when something doesn't seem right. Once again thank you for the touching story.
