Softball pitching speed radar

same day daughter pitching, and being clocked with a radar gun
she hit 57 mph. The college girl hit 62. my daughter is 10 years younger than her. a month later she is at 60mph

I don't know people have to try and call me a liar....there are plenty of kids playing D2 and D3 college ball that pitch over 60 mph. I have also seen quality D1 pitchers that never throw over 60. I put this video on here a long time ago, it was not meant to be a discussion, I was simply proud of my kid for working so hard, and I am even more proud of her now cause she has battled through several injuries, and surgeries. I REALLY KNOW SOFTBALL, I TEACH IT..ITS MY JOB. IT IS ALL I DO! GET OVER IT

Dude you make me laugh so hard. I travel this entire state and watch many 12 year olds at, near, or over 60 all the time. I now teach hitting lessons, and that girl in that video starts varsity for her high school as a freshman. I guess your going to tell me all the home runs she has hit weren't real either, even though they were all over 200 foot fences. I make my living off softball, I know what I am talking about. If your kid pitches, and she isn't near 60, maybe you need a new pitchingcoach

First of all Daddy isn't holding the radar gun, her pitching coach is. and it's not an 80 dollar radar gun it's a thousand dollar radar gun that is calibrated once a month. She was 12 in this video, she is now 15 and throws about 63.

We can't see the entire pitch, but based on her form alone (which is not horrible, but it's a 12 y/o's form) there is NO WAY this ball is going 60. If she is throwing 63 at 15 EVERY college coach in the country has contacted you. So what big ten school is she going to?

your speed does not matter at all if youre inconsistent. most of the time all you need is movement. i am 15 and a varsity pitcher with one of the lowest eras in my league and i have never once gotten my fastball above 55 but i have very effective curve balls, change ups, skrew balls, drop balls, and rise balls. im not saying that your daughter doesnt have a future but i am just disagreeing with this comment " If your kid pitches, and she isn't near 60, maybe you need a new pitching coach"
