Bunny Recovering from Surgery on Broken Foot

Raisin had been enjoying a run in the garden, when a cat startled him and so he thumped his back feet - but the brick patio was too hard and he broke a metatarsel bone in his right foot. After surgery to fix it, the vet advised to restrict his cage space for 3 to 4 weeks so he doesn't hop around much while his foot heals.

@robyn112204 Yes, Raisin completely healed after a few weeks and has been fine since. I'll convert his medical expenses into USD as most people don't know ISK: approx USD100 for an initial x-ray and splint etc but, because that didn't align the broken bones properly, an additional approx USD400 for surgery to realign the bones properly, cast, check-ups and cast change, etc. I hope your bunny also gets good treatment and recovers well.

@jazzicron911 Yep, he seems happy enough taking it very easy for 3 to 4 weeks while his foot heals inside that cast. A pity he can't read or watch TV...

my bunny has a broken leg too.. but hes still a baby so he cant have surgery.. he has a small brace on his leg to keep him from hurting it any more... i hope that may

be it'll heal a little on its own.. i found him in the woods with it broken.. i took him in knowing he'd die if i left him there. i figured it was best to TRY to take care of him..
