look, it cannot be argued, the illinois band had a much better sound and more precise marching. also, the brightness of sound in the brass and lack of balance in the usc band are noticeable on other videos with higher quality. you usc guys won the rose bowl, but the illinois band was definitely much more impressive.

Wow this is one of the shittiest recordings ive heard. Maybe you should listen to my recording of the Marching Illini, our team may have lost but I totally beat the shit out of your band, When I was in the bathroom at halftime, a drunk USC fan was talking to me and said that we suck at football, but he wished we were their band.

Love this chart. I also love how the haters just can't stay away. It's the same tired argument that being buddy buddy ass kissers with the opposing band is the "adult" thing to do. We all did it in HS. Grow a pair, do your gig and if you really love hanging out with the other band so much, join 'em. In person (I was stand about 6 feet away from the camera person), the TMB had more volume, better intonation, readable articulation, steadier rhythm and better crowd response.
