I started this quest... Can't buy beer, can't give him anything, can't sleep in bed upstairs, can't buy anything from any store, can't steal from bookcases and other stuff, and it says "can't leave until scene has ended". Ughhh...

guys buy guttered beer from the bartender and give that to him i had that problem and it worked! :D

guys how do you give the captian dread guy the beer... and when u get in that room search all of the bookcases and stuff and you should find a beer there.

I had it in my inventory, I think I got it from loot from a bandit camp or something. You should be able to buy some from the bartender though.
