It's like watching an onslaught of right-wing smear being thrown at this man. Bravo, Mr. Weiner! you handled yourself with poise and dignity in the face of the Fox Propaganda Machine spinning at its wildest. I was literally getting vertigo watching all the "fox facts" graphics whirling around his head, in a desperate attempt to continue feeding their insidious narrative to their audience. Run for Prez Weiner.

Weiner 2012!

that was very slick of fox news slipping in profit margin as if the insurance companies aren't making much profit. profit margin is defined as net profit / revenue, meaning a higher cost of producing will lead to a lower profit margin, making weiner's point: the insurance industry has enormous overhead costs.
also, companies can still reap enormous profits in terms of absolute numbers even if they have small profit margins.

Yeah, but the problem and its not going to go away, and with any problem there a solution? The company's are ones that are diving up cost because there no competition. I will be the first to tell you tax are probably going to go up, but thing about it like this if company have to pay for overhead meaning they have to pay to advertisement which cost a lot of money. So to sit there and ask why people should pay for others without insurance, were not animals. Also, they dead in the emergency room.

never mine

don't have to pay sorry

do not sorry

It's very easy why people brought to emergency not have to pay. They don't have any money or insurance that's why. There probably bankrupt because of a pre-existing condition. Don't republican ever thing of there other people. There suppose to be on the right side, but yet there always on the wrong side. That kind of ironic.

I don't get what your saying girardbcp. Do you care to elaborate.

@AbuGrablt So your saying you would rather pay more for your healthe coverage directly to the Insurance companies for your own coverage than pay less through taxes which would cover everyone? 40% of your premiums is overhead which go to insurance companies. Medicare has less than 10% overhead.
And your point about the glasses has nothing to do with the issue of insurance company vs. single payer. It's a problem with your hospital or insurance policy. Find a new hospital or insurance policy.
weiner is absolutely brilliant. That poll seemed very questionable, but his answer was perfect. Why should it even be 1%.
She was trying to trap him but he skillfully destroyed that trap.
Good work congressman

Watching Weiner attack the mindless DOGMA of those who so desperately defend the wealthy corporate class against the middle class of America is a thing of beauty. The top 1% of the people own 35% of all private wealth in the US, while the bottom 80% own just 15%. If you're in the 80%, you're a corporate slave struggling to survive and sadly don't know why. Then you come out to town meetings and rage against your own best interests. Wake up, you right-wing lunatics!
