This cactus plant has some huge, beautiful flowers but, alas, they last just for a day or so.

  • Thank you all. Much appreciated.

  • Beautiful video and fusion of music. It really is hypnotic to observe the plant grow.

  • Thanks very much for your thoughtful comment and poetic description.

  • Would you tell me how did you grow these plants? My plants did not blowsom as your.

    Thanks for your advise.

  • All I know is that they like a partly sunny spot. Just had some good luck, I guess.

  • Gorgeous... I know I've heard te music before, but I can't remember the name, what is it?

  • It's Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake Ballet. Thanks for your great comment!

  • Quite relaxing really. Just what I needed after a long work shift

  • how many pics are in that vid?

  • nice!

  • Truly the beauty of our nature :)

  • @MasterVeggie Epiphyllums are called Orchid Cactus because of the beautiful flowers. They are not crosses of cacti and orchids, nor are they a "Christmas Cactus", which are in the genus Rhipsalis or Rhipsalidopsis. (I'm not a scientist, just a nerdy hobbyist....) ;-)

  • Enjoyed the time lapse video......I have one of these plants, but it's only bloomed twice.......it almost froze one year too close to an open door in the winter, and finally, this year it produced 3 huge flowers.......so beautiful......wanted to share this video with my sis, but am haven't learned the maneuvers yet.......thanks again.......M from Colorado.......

  • @CanKaraoke

some cactuses bloom right after a dry peirod so try to water very little for a period of 1-2 months and then give it much water to simulate a rain period and they will bloom :D
