Fire fighters had heavy fire in the rear of a 2 story twin. Fire was rapidly extending laterally & vertically. Evac tones were sounded due to seriously deteriorated conditions with heavy fire. Fire did extend to the exposure dwelling. Access to the rear of the dwelling was very limited & difficult with a very steep drop off just off the back of the house, which also hampered firefighting efforts. The resident was transported for burns to the face & airway & 1 F/F was transported for heat related injuries.

  • Yes, unfortunately I had to leave this scene early for an appointment. I later learned that the homeowner received facial & airway burns, and 1 F/F was transported for heat related injuries. The F/F was treated & released. The homeowner remained on a ventilator due to the airway burns a cpl days later.

  • Wasn't the homeowner burned.

  • Nice, hanging over the side of the roof next to a power line with no helmet, no airpack and your coat un buttoned and wide open, real safe.
