I believe the original discussion was restricted to the use of the bangla language. Nobody has gorgotten India's selfish reasons in helping Bangladesh becoming a nation. It's give and take, you did not want 2 Pakistans on either side of the border, we wanted to preserve our culture and language. Which brings me back to the original issue, the language of bangla. The only nation on the face of the earth, which led a revolution to save its language. Bangla is our language, aristocratic or not.

Bangladesh was formed when India was detoxicated of the unwanted and disgraceful people who were choking the growth of the nation were deported to a tiny unknown land called Bangladesh. Even today that country is under developed, it is actually a failed state. No growth, no socio-economic developments, no technological breakthroughs.
