can i put shrimps with them?

The altums love to eat shrimps, and anything around the size of cherry shrimps will be eaten. Small fish like tetras too.

Beautiful !!! Maybe you could post the
water stats on these guys since I've heard they like Soft water etc. And, what is their ages now?

I'm afraid the only water perimeter I monitor is pH, which is around 7.4 now. Using peat to lower pH to this level. From tap the pH is more than 10!
Age of the fish is really just an estimate, but they have been with me since 29 Aug 2008. When purchased they were about 1" body size.
awesome fish. how old are they in the first and how old in this video? and what is the size of the tank?

Bought them 29 Aug 2008 and they were about 1" body size (exclude fins).
This video was posted on the day taken, which was 5 Feb 2009. All videos were posted on the day taken, and at most a couple days after.
Tank size is:
Length 182.5cm (external)
Width 75.5cm (external)
Height 69cm (actual water depth)

They look fantastic and doing well with a PH
